Air Rowing Machines : Should You Consider One?
Posted by: Ray Lam in Health, tags: HealthYou might wonder just what in the world is an air rowing machine, since it seems rather odd to be rowing air. But when it comes to exercise equipment, there are rowing machines that actually work with water as a form of the resistance and others that use magnetic, piston or weights for resistance. Some however use air as the resistance mechanism; these are called air rowing machines since you are just rowing air. They have a lot of benefits for anyone that is looking to get back into shape or those that want to take their physical fitness routine to the next level.
There are several air resistance models available that vary in price and features. Air resistance machines can range in price from $350 to as much as $3,000. Air resistance machines have such a wide price range because they can vary greatly in features and designs.
Most air rowing machines are very compact and can easily slide under a bed or into a closet, making them a perfect addition to your home gym equipment. Because many people that are overweight have problems with their knees, ankles, and hips these rowing machines are very good for them since there is little or no impact on these joints. You are sitting the entire time you’re working out so there is no stress on your knees and ankles no matter how much extra weight you’re carrying.
The Hydraulic Rowing Machines are usually cheaper and a great way those with less money looking to own their own personal Rowing Machine. The Hydraulic Rowing Machines offer a more controllable resistance than the Air Rowing Machines as well. Some concerns is that you are allowed more freedom with these and this takes away from the actual Rowing Experience.
When comparing Prices the Hydraulic is the cheapest of the three, and the Water Rowing Machines offer less maintenance, and both of these are a good thing. However the price of the cheaper machine can take away from the benefits found in using a Rowing Machine, and though lower maintenance is a benefit of the Water Machines it does not mean you will necessarily spend more time working on your Air Rowing Machines than actually using it.
