by Kim and Charles Petty

A back-end product is a product you attempt to sell your customers after they have recently purchased a related product from your business.

If you’re not trying to sell back-end products to your customers, you’re making a big mistake. It is easier to sell to existing customers than it is to sell to new ones who don’t trust your business yet.

Below are ten killer strategies you can use to sell your back-end products to your existing customers:

1. When you ship people the first product they bought, insert a flyer or brochure for your back-end product in the package.

2. Give customers a free subscription to a customers only e-zine when they buy your product. You could include your ad for your back-end product in each issue.

3. Send your customers greeting cards on holidays or on their birthday. Include a small advertisement inside the card for your back-end product.

4. After people order your first product from your web site, take them to a “thank you” web page and include your back-end product ad on that page.

5. Send customers a free surprise gift after they order your first product. You could attach another ad with the free gift for your back-end product.

6. If you’re selling an electronic product, like an ebook, include your ad for your back-end product somewhere inside the electronic product.

7. Give your customers a free membership into your “customers only” private site. You could include your ad for your back-end product somewhere inside the private site.

8. Contact your customers by phone and ask them if they were happy with their purchase. You could tell them about your back-end product.

9. Send your customers a thank you letter by mail or e-mail. You could mention your back-end product somewhere on the letter.

10. Ask your customers if they want to be updated in the future when you have new product offers. You could have them sign up to receive e-mail or snail mail updates.

Your business will have a greater chance of surviving when you attempt to sell back-end products to your existing customers.

Promotional Apparels - An Excellent Tool for Business Promotion

by Kay Petronelli

It has been proven that people love to get free things. When you think of promotional materials that are used at a sporting event or other type of event you probably think of the basic hat, t-shirts, etc.

Promotional apparel is a very effective way in getting the word out about your business. Your company name is embossed on the apparel of your choice and everyone will see your business name worn by many people.

Shirts are probably the most popular type of promotional apparel that is used and probably the most inexpensive. There are several major apparel groups such as Hanes or Fruit of the Loom that work with companies who make bulk purchases for shirts that are used to print your designs on or other items.

For only $5.00 per shirt or less, if you bought in bulk, you can see how you can’t go wrong with choosing such an effective promotional item.

Hats with a company logo embossed on them are very good marketing items. They make a significant contribution to a company’s marketing campaign. Just think of all the free advertising that a business can get when many different people are wearing their hats. A company investing in a nice styled hat with their logo or company name on them will only have to spend under $5.00 per hat.

Did you ever think to use kitchen items for promotional products? It is certainly a different market group that you will be catering to but items such as aprons, oven mitts and towels are used in every kitchen on a daily basis. An attractive piece of kitchen apparel will be used many times over until it is worn out. So think about purchasing attractive items and put your company name or product on them.

There are a lot of different ways to exercise so appealing to this crowd would be beneficial too. Everybody could always use an athletic type of promotional item and as popular as exercising has become so will your company. An item that is inexpensive at about $2.00 a piece is still a very effective promotional item such as a wristband or headband.

All businesses should consider using promotional apparel for their marketing campaigns. Your organization will be recognized at many public places and events and, again, a company can’t go wrong with free advertising. For a small cost, your business or product name is being recognized throughout cities all over.

PPC Management - Then And Now

Advertising No Comments
by Kirt Christensen

In times past there was no trouble getting an upper position in those highly searched, general keywords like ‘china’, ‘business’, ‘running’ and ‘headache’ for a nickel a click. When you did a search on Google for one of those terms, you would get only 1 or 2 results, indicating to you that you could bid a minimum price for your clicks.

But advertisers had a very hard time getting a generic term like “running” to stick, especially in the early days before phrase- and exact-match options were available. A person who typed in a keyword like “business” could have any of a thousand completely different ideas in mind for what he was looking for, so he was not only unlikely to click on your ad, but even if he did click on it, he was that much less likely to buy anything from you.

Since that time, there have been changes in the ways to manage PPC. No longer is there a minimum CTR, so keeping your clicks up is a non-issue. Also advertisers have gotten more savvy in the past year or two and are able to make these general terms become opportunities to market lucrative information.

So now it is worth the trouble to bid on general, non-specific, big-traffic keywords. But what is the secret to making them work?

Here is the answer:

Use test runs, try out different copy, tryout others, write new ads till you get one that works. This is time consuming, and you will have failures before you have success. But you will break it down with your tests until you find the winning combination.

Use negative keyword to your advantage.

With your ads you want those who you don’t want clicking to be disqualified. When you offer “Golf Instructions: Free” you will get unsuitable folks clicking. However if you offer “Golf Video $49″ those who are serious and likely to buy will be the ones clicking.

Market information, not just products. Send people to a landing page that collects opt-ins, and offer a free guide, a tutorial, or an e-mail course of some kind, which will establish you as an information source, create longer-term customers, and grow your visitor value to where even the most generic clicks are worth getting.

The New Rules Of PPC Management

Each keyword in your list is actually its own market.

The outlooks of the people searching are represented by the keywords in your list.

Behind each of the words your clients type in while searching is a desire, necessity, inquiry, or premise they have, but may not be aware that they have.

Some keyword markets are bigger than others.

Some keyword markets are more competitive than others.

Not everyone will have the same profits from the same keywords.

An excess of competition for some keywords will cause the bid price to rise unnaturally above actual market value.

At the same time, there are always other keywords that are overlooked but which represent better, more responsive markets and which you can find if you use the right tools.

When you mirror the language playing in your customers head, that is when he is going to buy from you.

Understanding How To Bid On Keywords

Advertising No Comments
by Brian Basch

It is critical to select the precise keywords for your ads. Successful marketers have learned how to do this well. It is not really that hard to do. Keyword research is the key to your success.

There is another important factor in your pay per click advertising campaigns that does not revolve around keywords. This is to do with the searchers themselves. They rarely look beyond the first 5-10 pages of their search results.

This means that it is very important to the success of your ad that you position it in the first 5-10 pages range. You will do this by putting up enough money.

For the savvy marketer this section is merely repeating what you already know. However if you are new to the game you might find this information helpful. Simply put Adwords is similar to a large auction. There is usually fierce competition for a keyword especially if it is popular. Only if you are dealing with very obscure keywords will you have less competition, but you will also have very few searches.

This means that you are not the only one using a certain keyword. So how will the search engine decide on ad positioning? Adwords works on a pay per click basis. Although the price is usually small it can accumulate. The advertisers who bid the most money on a keyword will have their ad placed higher in the search engine results. This benefits the search engine, as they get paid per click, despite the fact that the ad may not produce sales. Of course search engines like these high paying ads and put them in positions were they would get read more.

All this keyword research takes time. It will necessitate some experimentation and you may suffer some losses as you try to find the ideal keyword. Bear in mind the average click to sales ratio is often around 10%. This means that there will be a fair amount of wasted clicks. Your budget and the actual cost of your product should be assessed, before you start to bid on keywords.

Nobody can deny the importance of keyword research but it is good to know that bidding is also significant. If you do not make sure your ad is in a good position you will not attract enough traffic to your ad, let alone sales. So make sure you fully comprehend the bidding process so that you can build a profitable campaign.

So when you create your Adword campaign be sure to remember these points. When you think about it you will be wasting a lot of time and money if your ad that you worked so hard on is not even being viewed.

How To Earn Big Bucks With AdSense

Advertising No Comments
by Rich Benvin

What is AdSense? Can I earn a large amount of money with it? These are common questions people ask when they encounter the word AdSense. And here’s the answer to those questions. AdSense is an advertising program created by Google. How does it work? Let’s say that you have a website about Maltese dogs. When you enroll for an AdSense account, they place ads on your website that are relevant to the content on your website. Ads can be about training Maltese dogs, products for pet dogs, and so on. And when a visitor to your site clicks on these ads, you earn money. That’s basically how AdSense works. Neat, huh?

AdSense is both appealing and easy, and it essentially means that your website will start making money on its own - you don’t have to do anything. Just let the ads run and you get to cash the checks. But for many people, sometimes these checks are hardly anything to write home about. Perhaps they earn a couple of hundred every few months but that’s it. And yet there are a number of other people who are earning anywhere from $20,000 to $50,000 every month with AdSense. What’s the secret? Why is it that some people are earning a pittance with AdSense and others are getting big bucks?

The Secret Revealed: There is no secret! Those lucky ones just have a sharp understanding of how AdSense really work. Let me explain. AdSense is worked by keywords. And these keywords have their corresponding money values. One keyword can have a value of 50 cents while another is valued at 50 dollars per click. And those keywords with high values are the ones that are mostly entered in Google. Examples of high-paying keywords can be: diet, health, cars, loans, etc… Now, to gain big bucks on AdSense, you have to have these high-paying keywords on your website. The more keywords you have, the bigger the bucks.

However, and this is a point you should consider. Let’s say you have all those high-paying keywords on your website. But you wouldn’t be able to make money unless someone clicks those ads. What you have to do here is to entice your viewers enough to get them to click those ads. You can do this by making sure that your site is filled with quality content, interesting, original and well written. Make sure your content is related to those high-paying keywords. For example. “Credit” is a high-paying AdSense keyword that can generate a lot of money. To get AdSense to work for you, you will need to post relevant content like credit card information that will generate enough interest in your readers to get them to click on those ads.

But getting content and articles for good AdSense keywords can also be a very time-consuming affair. You’ll either have to write them yourself or you’ll have to collect them from other resources.

Overcoming False Evidence Appearing Real

Advertising No Comments
by Charles William Petty

Overcoming F.E.A.R.

Most of us have heard what this acronym stands for:

F - False E - Evidence A- Appearing R - Real

A lot of us don’t realize how this can truly impact our life.

In real estate investing, as in any venture in your life, you will have to step out on faith. This simply means that you believe that something good will happen; that you will be able to make it work. Stepping out on faith means that you believe in yourself. This doesn’t mean that you go off half-cocked, but that you prepare yourself and know that you will be able to deal with the unknown.

This can be a scary thing. Stepping out on faith is not something that many of us are comfortable with. In fact, we often talk ourselves out of doing something, rather than into it. Then, there are all the well-intentioned naysayers in our lives. They take their fears and put them onto us. They mean well, but they can make you miss out on your dreams. They would never have the guts to go out and do something like this, and they can’t see you doing it either. They don’t see themselves as snatching your dream away. They probably think that they are protecting you. But many times, snatch away your dreams is exactly what they do.

It is okay to be afraid when you are starting something new. It is perfectly normal. The important thing to remember is that you can’t let that fear stop you. You can use it as a tool to make sure you are prepared. Fear will make you feel a little on edge. Use that extra energy to make sure that you have all of your decks in a row. Make sure that you are as prepared as you can be. Use the fear, don’t let it paralyze you.

Educate yourself. Get coaching. Find a mentor. Do what you can to prepare yourself. But remember, at some point, you will have to stop preparing and do something. You will have to step out on faith. That is a good thing. It allows you to test yourself and the courage of your convictions. Things probably won’t work out exactly liked you planned. And that is okay too. It is when we are dealing with challenges that we learn new ways of doing things. We see things in a different light. In fact, we see ourselves in a different light. You might not know how strong you really are until you put yourself out there. You won’t know what you can truly accomplish until you push yourself.

So remember, it is okay to be afraid. Fear can’t hurt you, unless you let it stop you; instead, step out on faith.

Remember, faith can move mountains.

by Jeremiah Baker

This article is for you if you know that a higher click through ratio in Google AdWords you can get higher ad positions without increasing your cost per click. You want a way to see which ads are already performing well in Google AdWords. This article is going to show you a great strategy for finding out which ads are already performing well on Google AdWords.

Advertising is selling in print. You want your ads to sell whatever it is that you’re promoting on your website.

1.) If you’re goal is to generate sales leads by giving away something for free on your website in exchange for your visitor’s email address then your ad should clearly promote the benefits of your free offer.

2.) Do you run an ecommerce website selling products online? If you said yes then your ad copy should be specific to the benefits of the product(s) you’re selling. Remember your ad copy is your salesperson in print.

Next, I’m going to show you the fastest way to get ideas for writing your ads. Write down your main goal on a piece of paper (generate a sales lead or promote your product(s) for sale).

Pick a popular keyword or key phrase that’s related to what you’re promoting (write it down).

Let’s go to Google.com. Now enter in your keyword and hit the search button. Once the page loads you should see several ads at the top and right hand side of the page. Take a few moments and read through these ads. Do any of them have a similar offer to yours? Write down the ads that have a similar offer to yours.

Let’s take it one step further… Since your main goal is to find the best performing ads for your keyword or key phrase we’re going to use a technique here that gets Google to show us the ads that are getting the best Click Through Ratios (CTR’s, simply put the most number of clicks based on the number of times that ad was displayed for your keyword).

Let’s go back to Google again and type in your keyword with what is called a wild card after it. It should look like this (your keyword 7uyr5). “Take out the ( ) when you do your search. This strategy will show you the ads that are already getting a decent CTR in Google. It works because obviously nobody searching with (7uyr5) after your keyword. Google’s goal is to show the searcher ads that are most relevant to the keyword that was searched on. Since nobody actually searches with 7uyr5 after your keyword Google will display ads that have historically performed well for your keyword.

Do you see ads on the search results page? Write down the ads that appear to be promoting something similar to what you want to promote. These ads will give you a good starting point for writing your own ads.

I use this technique every day when I’m launching a new campaign. When I want to find out which ads are already performing well in Google this is the technique that I use. You know have a great way to find good ad copy ideas for your own ads.

I hope that you found this article useful and that you’ll get some great ideas for your own ad copy.

Conclusion: Remember the main goal of your ad is to get the searcher to click on it. Clearly promote the benefits of your offer in your ad copy, think of your ad copy as your salesperson.

How To Write An Effective Advertising Content?

Advertising No Comments
by Le T. Anh

In order to write an effective advertisement content to grab reader’s attention at the first sight, make them flicker through the brochures and fliers like flipping through a magazine not depending on how they will read with concentration. It does not necessary that they need to read all the word of the advertisement; but each line of the ads should be effective and passing out a message. That means it does not necessary to be logically, but it should be creative.

Firstly, the ad should reveal only relevant and specific content. Some copy writers fear about missing out some information and try to write as much as they can. This will only waste of expensive advertising space and disinterest the reader. The reader usually skipping lines between and there is a possibility that they may read from bottom to the top. A word that sell always help with the content. Nevertheless, the content should be organized by the way that start with heading at the top, body in the middle and the end is conclusion.

The bold font or sub-heading can be used for the main points. The following body content should discuss about the sub-heading. If the product is more for technical point to be discussed, try not to be so technical because it sounds like a strange language to a common reader.

You can use another techniques called chucking. Chucking is a technique that write a small story with conclusion at the end. The story and conclusion can either have or not have connection. It is better if they aren’t connected, because it won’t require the reader to go back to a previous chuck in order to understand the present chuck he is reading. This works quite well when there are pictures in the advertisement and the chuck illustrates the picture. The two-dimensional picture is speechless unless some well-chosen words talks about it and motivates the customers.

Spelling mistakes should be avoided to the maximum extent. They reflect poor quality and bring bad reputation to the client. The design should speak clearly and loudly about the organization being discussed.

The next step should be writing information about contacts so as to buy the product; detailed forms are big turn-off. Contact information, postal address and website URL should be clearly specified. Also include whether the business accepts cash, check or credit card. Another thing to be taken care of is the contact information, which is usually written on the forms, which have to be mailed. It is better to write them on the advertisement also so that the customers can save it for future reference.

Once the final content is done, you should re-organize it. It is dependent on the demand of the products, arrange them in hierarchy, especially when designing a brochure because each of the products should get the clarification and attention they deserve.

Exercise a good habit by writing down the procedures, which has been used in all kind of written advertisement. You may also save data like what is the targeted customers what what kind of advertisement, it is helpful for future use for same kind of logic with the similar customers.
