Women come in all shapes and sizes contrary to the belief of quite a few of today’s clothing manufacturers. Regardless of your body shape you can look stylish and the main key to looking and feeling great is knowing your body shape and how to dress appropriately. The good news is there are some clothing manufacturers who have come to appreciate this fact and they are now producing clothes suitable for more than just one shape. Detailed below are the four basic body shapes and information about how to tell which one you are.

The Straight or Banana Shaped Body

Women with a straight figure have little difference between their bust, hip, and waist measurements. They often find that garments are too large in the bust, hips, and thighs, and have trouble finding clothes that flatter without being too tight in one area or too loose in another. Empire gowns are often flattering, and can help draw attention to the upper body. Detailing and patterns can help break up your shape, preventing a “rectangle” or boxy look.

Pear (also called the spoon or bell shapes)

Women with pear shaped bodies are larger in the hips and thighs, and generally have smaller busts than waists giving an appearance of a larger bottom half to the body. Items of clothing such as fitted jeans or slim skirts are not best suited to this shape. Garments which hug the hip and thigh areas should be avoided at all costs. When selecting dresses a fitted bodice with a fuller skirt looks good. Detailing on tops will help to give emphasis to the upper part of the body.

The Apple Shaped Body

Apple shaped women tend to have thick waists and large rib cages. They may be small or large busted, but they generally have narrower hips and accumulate weight in the chest, shoulders, arms and abdomen first. They may have relatively slender legs. Women who are apple shaped may wish to avoid wide necklines and garments with a lot of trim around the neck and shoulders, since these can accentuate a broad upper body. If wearing a skirt, look for a fuller style to help provide balance.

The Much Admired Hour Glass Shaped Body

Hourglass shaped women are thought of as lucky by many, but they have just as many problems finding off the rack clothes that fit because of their comparatively broad hips and chests. Few clothes that fit in these regions have a small enough waist. Many clothes that fit elsewhere are tight in the hips and bust. Try to find clothes that accentuate your waist, and be willing to have them altered if you need to. Sometimes, moving a button can make a shirt fit better. Avoid a lot of heavy decoration, because it can make you look a lot heavier.

It is important to look good and dressing to suit your body shape can help you to do this. When you know you look good, you will feel good too and your confidence will soar. So, by taking heed of the above tips your clothes shopping need no longer be a nightmare.

A quick search online will turn up many retailers offering clothes that are made to fit different shapes, both locally and abroad. See what you can find and say goodbye to badly fitting fashions.

Today, tattoo designs and those designer tattoo for girl clients can be found everywhere. Try browsing through a couple of online galleries and you will surely find a couple of designs that you would consider having. Before you do get yourself tattooed there are some important things you should think about.

Getting the Best Design

The most common question for girls is which is the most appropriate design for girls. If you are asking about popularity, that is easy to answer. Girls would look great in floral, tribal, fantasy and foreign character designs. Tattoos however are never about just what is popular. Each tattoo design has its own unique significance. Each tattoo represents a person’s personality and preferences. It therefore follows that what may be great for one may not be great for you. When it comes to tattoo designs, you should have the final say. Good tattoo artists however can help you make the right decisions as to placemen t and tattoo size.

Tattoo Individuality

Most likely, you’ll find designs that are never completely unique. That is unless your design has been specifically made for you. If however, your tattoo was taken from a gallery, you could be sharing the same design with a couple of other people. Even so, tattoos should be all about individuality and uniqueness.

Your design may be the same as someone else’s. You may even have it on a common spot like the lower back. Nonetheless, a design that is personally significant to you is still unique to you. Always remember to find meaning in a tattoo for girl design before you have it etched on your skin. This is the best way to preserve the individuality of a tattoo.

Your Life Situation

Getting a tattoo is a personal decision you have to make. You should however, always consider your situation first. It may be all well and good to have a very obvious tattoo if you just work at home or on your own business. It might be a different story though if you work in an ultra formal corporate office. Let’s face it. Even if there isn’t anything wrong with tattoos, some people still have biases against people who have tattoos. You could loose clients or the respect of your boss and colleagues with an ill-placed tattoo. Design placement and size should therefore be influenced by your professional and personal situation. There are places where you can hide tattoos like your foot or upper arm.

Following Popularity

Tattoo styles change, too. Some are specifically more popular at a particular time or decade. It may be tempting to get into the band wagon and pick a popular design. It can be anything from a cartoon character to the symbol or name of a famous pop artist. No one can say that this is entirely wrong. You should remember though that popular things and people do not stay forever. You are better off with a design that is personally important to you.

Tattoo Placement

The spot where you put your tattoo is also another thing you have to consider. There are a couple of important placement considerations though. Aside from considering tattoo visibility, you should also consider skin quality. Females have different skins compared to males. There are certain parts that stretch, sag or develop cellulite as we age, give birth or gain weight. These areas may have to be avoided when considering tattoo placement.

Girl foot tattoo is becoming more and more popular with women these days. The foot is definitely one of the most unique place where you can sport a tattoo. Just like any other tattoo though, getting a foot tattoo is a major decision. Here are some important points that you should know about foot tattoos.

The Benefits of a Foot Tattoo

There may be different reasons why you would want a foot tattoo. You might still be unsure though about the advisability of getting a foot tattoo. Why would the foot be a great place for a tattoo? One major reason for this is that they aren’t as common as lower back and arm tattoos for women. Although foot tattoos are gradually becoming popular, they are still comparatively uncommon. Getting a foot tattoo will make you feel more unique than other tattooed individuals.

Compared to other areas, foot tattoos are also less obvious. This is important for some people who want to keep their tattoos discreet. You may want for example to have a tattoo of something significant but do not want to flash it outright for the whole world to see. A foot tattoo would therefore be perfect. You can have a small design that you can show or hide at your own discretion.

Girl Foot Tattoo Disadvantages

Not all tattoo artists would consider doing foot tattoos. This is because there can be a couple of hitches to foot tattoos. This is also most likely why the foot isn’t as popular as other tattoo sites. One major concern is that the ink on foot tattoos tends to spread, scatter or blur faster than those on other tattoos. You may have to get your tattoo re-inked more often than other tattoos.

Foot tattoos are more painful. This is because of the foot’s flesh being close to capillaries and bones. Unless you haven’t noticed yet, most tattoos are located in areas with a lot of flesh. This minimizes the pain during the tattooing process. The pain of a foot tattoo can actually extend beyond the actual process. It shouldn’t be a surprise to you if you feel some discomfort while using your feet.

Aside from pain, you have to think of recovery. It can make more than two weeks for a foot tattoo to heal. In this span of time, the tattoo has to be kept dry and clean. You also have to avoid getting your tattoo rubbed. This is very difficult to do with a foot tattoo. You may have to spend the entire time away from closed shoes.

Precautions

These are just some of the unique challenges of getting a foot tattoo. You might still want to get one though. If you are really bent on it then the best thing that you can do is to find an experienced tattoo artist. Remember that not everyone does foot tattoos. You should therefore pick one who knows how to do it properly and with the least pain possible. You could also settle for smaller designs. These would be ideal for feminine feet. You would also have to deal with less pain and blurring.

Getting a girl foot tattoo is truly exciting. You have to be sure though that you are absolutely willing and ready to meet the unique concerns of a foot tattoo.

Learning how to wear a suit is a great way to give yourself a head start to success. This skill is one of the best things you can learn to immediately improve your self image.

The slope of the shoulder is the first area of the suit a man should look at. A properly fitting suit should have shoulders with a natural look to them. Too many times men try to make their shoulders look enormous with too much padding.

Another area men need to pay careful attention to is the fit of the jacket at both the waist and the chest. A properly fitting jacket should allow for about two inches at the chest and should make the stomach look trim.

The next next that should be considered is the actual style of the jacket. Men that are in great shape should wear suits that accentuate this and men who are in poor shape should wear suits that hide this fact. A good rule of thumb is that if you are fit, less is more.

Pants need to fit well at all angles, but the first area to consider is the waist. This measurement is easy as the size of the pants should match up to the actual measurement of your waist.

Next a man’s pants should not be too snug or too baggy at the legs. Stand in front of a mirror and make sure the pants drape correctly from your hips to your ankles. When walking around your pants should feel comfortable. If the pants bunch at the knees when you are walking, the pants are too tight. When the pants make a swishing sound as you walk, the pants are too loose.

Mens pants should end with a slight break at the shoes. This means that the pants should touch the shoes but should not go more than an inch or two beyond that point.

I hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it. Hopefully the knowledge you gained in this article makes your next suit buying purchase a breeze.

Purchasing a summer suit can seem daunting when facing so many choices. This article will explain the differences between the various summer suit materials and make your shopping experience much more pleasant.

Summer suits come in seersucker, cotton, linen, and wool materials. After reading this article you will know the differences, advantages, and disadvantages of all four materials.

Worsted wool is the only wool suit that is made as an exclusive summer suit. This suit is great for warm weather because it is thin and lightweight. Buy this suit for the office and you will not go wrong.

The main draw back of the worsted wool suit is that it is dry clean only. This may seem obvious in comparison with its winter counter parts but all other summer suits are machine washable.

The linen suit is quite possibly the softest suit in its class. This suit gives the wearer more comfort than a wool suit would give. Disadvantages include fading and the likely hood of quick wrinkling. Wear this suit to social occasions but never to the office or anything formal.

Suits made from cotton are perfect for summer wear. This is because these suits allow for air to pass through the suit and onto the skin. The only trouble with a cotton suit is its ability to wrinkle easily. Wear this anywhere you like but be sure to minimize activities that cause wrinkling at the office.

Seersucker suits are especially made out of material that hangs loosely from the skin. This suit provides even more breath-ability than a cotton suit and is ideal for summer wear. The main disadvantage of this suit is that it generally does not come in models suited for business use.

Now that you know the differences between the various types of summer suits you should carefully consider what types of activities you will be using your suit for. Purchase a suit that can fulfill your needs and keep you feeling cool all summer long.

Think of patches that someone use to get medicines or for things such as nicotine patches for those who are trying to quit smoking. Likewise, Your skin will take up those chemicals and other issues. It is very important that you should take care of your routine products and consider to use organic skin care products instead otherwise you will get those chemical deeply into your skin everyday.

The first is that you want certified 100% organic skin care products. This assures you that they will be free of synthetic ingredients and those harsh chemicals. Since prehistoric times, raw gold with its radiant golden coloration and metallic glean has captivated and fascinated mankind. The unique luster of gold attracts the eye, allowing the seeker to detect the smallest of grains in an mixture of many other materials. The smallest grains are easily detected.

Anthropological excavations of Stone Age burial sites indicate that gold was the first element collected and prized by man. This unique metal, gathered in the form of nuggets, seems to have been highly prized but was not used in practical applications. Rating 2.5 ? 3 on Mohs scale of hardness, gold was much too pliable to be hammered into workable tools or weapons. Gold carried little value for prehistoric man except to be admired and treasured for its rare, intrinsic beauty.

However, as man developed he soon found numerous applications for the mysterious golden metal. The earliest record of gold exploration dates to Egypt around 2000 B.C. Ancient records tell of an enormous alluvial gold deposit in Nubia, between the Nile River and the Red Sea in southeastern Egypt. This amazing discovery encompassed in excess of one hundred square miles. Using the most primitive of tools and excavating to an average depth of less than six feet, the laborers pried an approximately one thousand tons of gold from this rich discovery. Egyptian craftsmen, recognizing the extraordinary malleability of gold fashioned incredible jewelry, statues and idols of breathtaking beauty.

Throughout the history of mans involvement with gold, the precious metal has been prized not only for its beauty but for golds ability to withstand the rigors of time. No substance that appears commonly in nature will destroy gold. Unaffected by air, moisture, heat or cold, this noble metal will not tarnish, corrode, rust or discolor. Shimmering gold dust, golden nuggets of placer gold and brilliant vein occurrences have survived 4.5 billion years of cataclysmic geologic and climate changes; volcanic eruption, earthquakes, upheavals and deposition. Treasures of gold jewelry, bullion and coins, buried for thousands of years beneath land and sea have been found intact; as brilliant as the day they were abandoned. A relatively rare native metallic element, gold ranks fifty-eighth in abundance amongst the ninety two natural elements that make up the earths crust. Although considered a rare element, of all metals gold is, with the exception of iron, the most widely distributed over the planet. Gold has been found on 90 per cent of the earths surface and is mined in high mountain ranges, in the deeply weathered soil of the tropics, harsh deserts and in the permanently frozen tundra of the Arctic.

Gold is commercially mined on every continent with the exception of Antarctica. The richest gold producing area of the world is the Witwatersrand District of South Africa. This ultra rich area has yielded eighteen thousand tons of gold with no end in sight. Additional notable gold bearing areas around the world are Siberia in the former USSR, the Porcupine District in Ontario, Canada and in the United States the Yukon District of Alaska and the famous Mother Lode District in California.

In the United States nature was extremely generous. Thirty-two states have recorded significant commercial gold production. The highest yielding areas are located within the western states, California, Colorado, Alaska, Nevada and South Dakota. Other abundant locations for prospecting include Georgia, Arkansas, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Washington, New Mexico, Wyoming, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Vermont and New Hampshire. The recreational gold prospector can find gold in his pan in practically every state of the union.

Gold is a prized media for artisans. It is a metal that can be deformed by pounding without breaking or crumbling. Gold, in its purest form is the most malleable or workable of all metals. One single ounce of gold can be drawn and stretched into an ultra fine wire over 50 miles in length without breaking or pounded to the incredible thinness of one hundred thousandth of an inch without disintegrating. Gold is easily reformed, readily polishes to a lustrous gleam, can be heated repeatedly without discoloration and joins to itself or other metals by soldering without the need for a bonding flux.

For more than 6000 years gold has been considered symbolic of wealth, power and status. In 1350 B.C. the Egyptian boy king, Tutankhem, was interred in a coffin elaborately cast from 242 pounds of solid gold. Throughout history men and women have adorned their bodies with brilliant, gleaming gold. The custom of exchanging gold during marriage ceremonies continues today.

The wealthy of Medieval Europe liberally sprinkled gold on their food to demonstrate the hosts great wealth. Today gold is still often used in food and has the E Number 175. Metallic gold is inert to all body chemistry, it brings no flavor nor has any other nutritional effect and exits the body unaltered.

Pre-historic man thought gold contained a mysterious, internal fire, a treasure from the Gods with healing and magical powers. Many cultures of sun worshippers revered gold as the tangible presense of their Gods; solid sunshine. In modern day Japan believers seek golds medicinal magic by immersion in an elegant bath tub designed in the form of a phoenix crafted from 400 pounds of purest gold. Gold and health have long been entwined in the magical belief that something so rare and beautiful could not be anything but healing and healthy.

Today modern esotericists and forms of alternative medicine embrace the healing properties of gold. Some gold salts have anti inflammatory properties and are used as pharmaceuticals in the treatment of arthritis and other similar conditions. However, only salts and radioisotopes of gold are of pharmacological value, as elemental or metallic gold is inert to all chemicals it encounters within the body.

Gold is viewed as a storehouse of value, the natural way for mankind to preserve capital and guard against financial uncertainty or monetary collapse. In modern times gold has served as a hedge against the threat of inflation and as a secure and safe way to secret away assets. Hoarding of gold occurs most often during times of war, adverse world conditions and international fears of economic instability. Gold has repeatedly conquered the attempts of regimes to inflate the currency of their country as well as circumventing the goals of those controling political power to command the economy of other nations.

Throughout recorded history, gold, the crowned king of metals, has been considered the ultimate monetary exchange. Gold is the only currency that isnt someone elses responsibility or liability; it is more that just a paper promise to pay upon demand. Golds worth does not rely on the economic stability of any country, political power or financial cartel. Gold has value in and of itself.

The current world price of gold is set daily by the London Gold Market which exchanges gold coins and gold bullion with other financial world centers such as Zurich, Hong Kong , Frankfurt and Paris. The daily price is based on pure or fine gold, therefore the value of gold gleaned in its natural state may vary depending on the impurities it contains. However, raw gold sold as specimens or jewelry will always bring a higher price. Gold nuggets are as distinctively different as snowflakes, although similar, no two nuggets are alike. A nugget of unique character and shape may sell for as much as five times its value by weight.

Do you have several pieces of broken or discarded gold jewelry you no longer wear? Now may be the time to cash in on the current gold rush. With the price of gold exceeding $1000 an ounce, a earring or broken gold chain could add up to a considerable sum.

To obtain the highest price for gold you may wish to liquidate, know the karat count. Because of the softness of pure 24k gold, it is usually alloyed or mixed with base metals for use in jewelry, altering its melting point, ductility, hardness and color. Alloys with lower karatage, typically 22k, 18k, 14k or 10k, contain larger percentages of silver, copper and other base metals in the alloy. The higher the karat the more you will be paid.

If you only have a piece or two to sell, try a local jeweler or take a vintage piece to an antique jeweler. They will take the artists craftsmanship into consideration and you will net a much higher price than for just the gold weight.

Hollywood and Bollywood alike are both sweeping the entertainment industry by storm. As new actresses hit the limelight scene, fans crave more and more pictures of their favorites celebrities. For usage in desktop wallpapers to avatars, such pictures are great to show one’s interests in life.

All young actresses that take a role in a popular film are setup for almost a sure success. One such actress that followed this route is Anne Hathaway- a perfect example of how online photography has benefitted Hollywood actresses in many ways. It helps the actresses gain recognition, while gives consumers a way to obsess over her natural beauty and charm exhibited in her many films.

Anne Hathaway and those like her may be popular in the United States, but others such as Kim Kardashian and fellow Bollywood actresses are popular elsewhere. Bollywood is a spinoff of the Hollywood name, given to Indian regions where the entertainment industry is booming. With the boom, many famous actresses such as the spicy Kim Kardashian have made their impact on young fans everywhere.

Despite common believe, online celebrity photo galleries aren’t just for spending leisure time. They also serve purpose for fashion students or prospective fashion students, who need much industry experience and knowledge to get anywhere in the competitive market. Clearly there is much to benefit from a free celebrity photo blog, not just a fun way to spend otherwise boring hours on the Internet.

Interesting enough, actresses in Hollywood and Bollywood have become the target of many web design projects. Marketing ploys will put well-endowed actresses on the front of web design samples. Since most can relate to celebrities, it gives possible clients of the web designer a way to strike a conversation, as well as influence a sense of awe in the process.

The benefits are obviously vast, but finding an Internet gallery that actually offers the photographs for free and without annoying advertisements can be a tough process. Most websites like to include advertisements to supplement costs of obtaining the photographs, but sometimes enough is enough. If you are having a bit of a problem in finding a reliable source of photographs, check with friends or family who may know a few good celebrity photography galleries to view.

In Conclusion

There are many blogs and websites that show celebrity photographs online, so there isn’t any need to worry about finding a shortage of photos. The trick, visitors find, is finding a reliable resource that updates on a daily basis and doesn’t overload the user with advertisements.

A person’s eyeglasses are usually his or her most important article of clothing and usually the one accessory that most people are self conscious of. Not only can the appearance of your eyeglasses effect other people’s perception of you, more significantly, they can affect you perception of yourself. A pair of ugly and clunky old frames can be embarrassing. On the other hand, the right pair of designer frames can be both sexy and stylish. Moreover, the right pair of eyeglasses can come to look so natural it can reach a point where a person appears unrecognizable without his or her usual specs.

With so much selection in the retail optical stores and, even more overwhelming, the ridiculous array of choices available on the internet, it can be a chore to find the set of eyeglasses that will perfectly compliment your features. You can’t very well try on every style in the store, or if you’re shopping online, you may not get to try them on at all. Some websites sport a “try-it-on” feature, where you upload a digital photograph of your face and then past the various frame styles over top to get an idea of the final look. But even this can be an arduous process. It’s good to have an idea about the conventions of eyewear fashion before you go randomly searching the racks or the web pages for your next set of glasses.

Most eyewear professionals will tell you there are seven basic types of face shapes. While we know everyone is unique, knowing which of the seven shapes is closest to your particular facial features is helpful to determine which frame style will best compliment your features. A round face is one with few angles or sharp curves. As the general rule with eyeglass frames is that they should contrast the face shape, a person with a round face will look best in narrow, angular frames. A person with a square face, on the other hand, will look best in round frames, while an oblong face would be complimented by frames that are thick from top to bottom so as to make the face seem shorter. If one’s face is like a base-up triangle, frames that are wider at the bottom will look best and vice-versa for a base down triangular face.

When it comes to color, the opposite is true: the color of the frame of a person’s eye glasses ought to be congruent with the person’s coloring. A person’s coloring is determined by their skin tone, eye shade, and hair color. For the purpose of eyeglasses, people fall into two distinct coloration, either warm or cool. For skin tone, color is less important than undertone. Pink or bluish undertones are cool, whereas pale orange or yellow undertones are warm. Dark to medium brown, dirty blonde, black and salt-and-pepper hair are cool while light brown, red, blonde, and white hair are warm. Eye color is more difficult to categorize given the nearly infinite shades of the human iris, but generally speaking, dark blues, greens and browns are cool, while pale blues, greens and amber browns are warm. As we said earlier, frame colors ought to match a person’s overall coloration. Warm colored people should seek out light frame colors such as orange, beige, and bright reds or greens. Cool colored people look best in dark frames, such as deep blue, dark brown, or even black.

When choosing any pair of eyeglasses keep in mind that the frames should always be in scale with a person’s head size and overall body size. Big glasses look good on big people, while smaller people tend to stick to the rule that less is more.

Greasy hair can look oily and dull, and have a lank and lifeless appearance. It can look flat and heavy, and it never seems to stay clean and fresh. It takes on a stringy appearance within a few hours of shampooing and refuses to stay full and fluffy. Does this describe your hair? Do you ask the question, why is my hair greasy? Greasy hair can cause social embarrassment as others may judge that the sufferer has poor hygiene and does not wash their hair frequently enough, even if they actually wash it every day.

The grease found in hair is called sebum and is oil that is produced natural by the body. Each of the hairs on your head has a gland called the sebaceous gland immediately under the skin, this gland produces sebum. Oil in greasy hair protects each strand form split ends and dryness, and is in fact a sign of healthy hair. Sebum is made as lubrication for the skin and hair, providing a protective barrier and preventing drying. Sebum is the body’s own natural moisturizer.

Greasy hair is actually an excess of sebum in hair which is a result of overactive sebaceous glands over-producing sebum, stimulated by hormones known as androgens. Although they are present in both men and women, androgens are male hormones and are higher in men. Androgens do two things: One, they increase the size of sebaceous glands in the skin. Two, they cause the sebaceous glands to increase the production of oil.

Because hormones play a role in the production of sebum, one of the causes of greasy hair is fluctuating hormone levels. Greasy hair is most commonly found in teenagers going through puberty, in women because of their monthly cycle or pregnancy, and older women going through the menopause. Stress is also known to affect hormone levels and can therefore be a contributory factor towards greasy hair. People with fine hair often find that they suffer from excessive greasiness, as they have more hair and follicles meaning there are more glands on the scalp, each producing sebum.

There are several external causes of greasy hair. Washing your hair too frequently can cause more sebum to be produced as frequent washing can strip the hair of oils, to combat this sebaceous glands excrete sebum. Sebaceous glands can be stimulated through vigorous scrubbing of the hair and scalp while washing. Touching your hair can also stimulate sebaceous glands, along with vigorous hair brushing which carries oil throughout the hair. The over-use of styling products can cause hair to look greasy as the products can build-up at the roots. Everyday environmental pollutants can also cause hair to look greasy.

There are also several internal causes to greasy hair as well. Along with changing hormone levels, a major cause of greasy hair is the food you put inside of you, i.e. you diet. Western diets are usually much greasier, containing more fat. They are usually processed, containing many additives, and typically are higher in fat and sugar. The high fat content of the diet increases oil in the skin which can lead to greasy hair. The meat in a Western diet often contains some hormones, and these hormones can add to the levels of unbalanced hormones. Greasy hair can also be a sign of a diet that is low in vitamin B.

The key of how to avoid, stop, treat and cure greasy hair is approach it from the outside and inside. Starting with the outside: avoid brushing your hair too often, and avoid brushing your hair vigorously. As you wash your hair, massage your hair and scalp lightly instead of scrubbing them vigorously. The beast shampoo for greasy hair is a mild-ph shampoo that is extra cleansing or clarifying. Look for a shampoo that is specially formulated for greasy hair. To protect against dryness moisturizing shampoos can leave oil in your hair, these should be avoided.

For a more thorough cleanse, leave the shampoo in for about 5 minutes. You can always rinse your hair and shampoo a second time. How often you need to wash your hair is down to you. Ideally you should wash your hair 1-2 times per week. To find what is right for you, begin washing daily and then reduce the frequency to find your ideal balance of oil production and washing. If you plan to use a conditioner on your hair, apply the conditioner to the mid and ends of you hair only, and be sure to use a conditioner made for greasy hair. If you are using a hairdryer for hair styling don’t let the dryer get too hot, heat can cause the production of more oil.

With the inside: do all that you can to reduce and eliminate any and all stress. In your diet, consider using a vitamin B supplement. Make sure you eat plenty of whole grains, seeds, nuts, leafy green vegetables, salads and fresh fish. Reduce the amount of fatty foods that you eat, avoiding greasy, fried and fatty foods as much as possible. Reduce the number of white flour based foods in your diet, foods like pastries, pasta and bread. Lastly, avoid sugar and sugary foods like biscuits, cakes and soft drinks.

Sixty years ago this week, the world’s first bikinis made their debut at a poolside fashion show in France. This particular swimsuit is now so common that it’s hard to understand how shocking people found it at the time. When bikinis arrived, its revealing cut scandalized even French fashion models who were supposed to wear it; the models refused, and the original designer had to enlist strippers! Bikinis slowly gained acceptance?first on the Riviera, then in the United States, and became a beachfront staple. When bikinis were unveiled in the late 1940s, it was not the first time that women had worn revealing garments in public. In the fourth century, for example, Roman gymnasts wore bandeau tops, bikini bottoms, and even anklets that would look perfectly at home on the beaches of California today. At the beginning of the 20th century, though, such displays would have bordered on blasphemy. Female swimmers went to great lengths to conceal themselves at the beach. They wore voluminous bathing costumes and even made use of a peculiar Victorian contraption called the bathing machine, essentially a small wooden or canvas hut on wheels. The bather entered the machine fully dressed and donned her swimming clothes inside. Then, horses pulled the cart into the surf. The bather would disembark on the seaside, where she could take a dip without being observed from the shore. In the decades that followed, the seaside dress code loosened up. In 1907, Australian swimmer and film star Annette Kellerman, an advocate of more hydrodynamic swimwear, was charged with indecent exposure for appearing on Boston’s Revere Beach in a form fitting, sleeveless tank suit. The ensuing high-profile legal battle led beaches across the nation to relax swimwear restrictions. By 1915, American women commonly wore one-piece knitted maillots.

Oddly enough, the two-piece swimsuit?which usually consisted of a structured halter top and modest bottom that covered the navel, hips, and derri?re?arrived with much less fanfare than bikinis. By the early ’40s, film stars including Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, and Lana Turner were all wearing two-piece swimsuits, and it was seen frequently on American beaches. Why was the skin above the bellybutton so much less controversial than below it? Hollywood’s Hays production codes allowed two-piece gowns but prohibited navels on-screen. That meant the rib cage earned a ho-hum reputation, but the bellybutton was terra incognito. In the 1948, as Kelly Killoren Bensimon details in The Bikini Book; attractive women were known as “bombshells,” and anything intense was ‘atomic.’ So, when two Frenchmen independently designed skimpier alternatives to two piece swimsuits in the summer of 1946, both suits got nicknames. The first designer, Jacques Heim, created a tiny suit called the atome. The second, Louis Reard, introduced his design on July 5, four days after the United States had begun atomic testing in the Bikini Atoll. In a rather bold marketing ploy, Reard named his creation ‘le bikini’, implying it was as momentous an invention as the atom bomb. Thanks to their provocative name and cut, bikinis made international headlines. Photos of Micheline Bernardini, the stripper Reard had enlisted to model it, circulated across the planet. But in the United States, women, including actresses in movies like 1947’s My Favorite Brunette and the model on this 1948 cover of Life magazine, stuck with more traditional two piece swimsuits. In 1950, Time interviewed American swimsuit mogul Fred Cole and reported that he had “little but scorn for France’s famed Bikinis,” because they were designed for diminutive Gallic women. “French girls have short legs,” he explained to Time. “Swimsuits have to be hiked up at the sides to make their legs look longer.”

Brigitte Bardot’s legs, at least, didn’t need any such help. A photo was taken at the Cannes Film Festival in 1953, just as the bikinis were becoming common on the French Riviera. Even so, it remained illegal in many States, where it was seen as a suspect garment favored by ‘loose moral’ Mediterranean types. A few years ago, Sports Illustrated dug up a 1957 issue of Modern Girl that declared: “It is hardly necessary to waste words over the so-called bikinis since it is inconceivable that any girl with tact and decency would ever wear such a thing.” Just three summers later, though, bikinis had established a beachhead here in the United States. This was in large part because of the increasing popularity of private pools, which gave women a secluded place to test out the new look. A Neiman Marcus buyer classified bikinis as “a big thing” for 1960. Brian Hyland also had a hit that year with the song “Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,” which takes on new meaning when you realize the swimsuit was still catching on at the time. No wonder the song’s protagonist was “afraid to come out of the water.”

Bikinis soon became extremely common. In 1965, a woman told Time it was “almost square” not to wear bikinis, which, given the outlet, suggests she was correct. In 1967 the magazine wrote that “65% of the young set had already gone over.” The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue debuted in 1964, with a white bikini on the cover. And the swimsuit’s increasing popularity was reinforced by its appearance in contemporary movies like Annette Funicello’s How To Stuff a Wild Bikini and Raquel Welch’s One Million Years B.C. One of the bikini’s earliest and most memorable film roles came in the 1962 Bond film Dr. No. (A journalist who saw an advance screening reported, “Actress Ursula Andress fills wet bikinis as if she were going downwind behind twin spinnakers.”)

Bikinis definitely certainly complemented the va-va-voomery of Raquel Welch and her peers, who tended to be busty and a little soft in the middle. (In early bikini shots, stomachs are often evidently sucked in.) But the 1970s saw the rise of models like Cheryl Tiegs, who possessed the athletic figure that, for the most part, remains in vogue today. The advent of this lean ideal led many women to wonder: Who, exactly, should wear bikinis? In the 1960s, Emily Post decreed, “It is for perfect figures only, and for the very young.” Since then, though, a number of bikini designers (most notably Malia Mills) have encouraged women of all ages and body types to take up the style. Bensimon’s lively Bikini Book splits the difference on this question. In one Q&A, the author asks venerated swimwear designer Norma Kamali who shouldn’t wear the bikini. She responds, “Anyone with a tummy.” Eighty-odd pages later, though, professional beach volleyballer Gabrielle Reece (who competes in a bikini) declares that “confidence” alone can make the bikinis sexy. Easy for her to say. Today, you have to wonder whether thong bikinis, which first appeared in Brazil in the 1970s but has since made scant inroads here, will ever become common on American beaches. Never, you say? It’s a suspect garment favored by licentious Latin types? Exactly what Americans used to think about bikinis. Whether or not the thong ever makes it out of the lingerie drawer, though, bikinis are here to stay.

Shoes and shoemakers are a dime a dozen, right? Wrong. Men and women who believe that they can make shoes are a dime a dozen, but men and women who can actually accomplish the feat of making something entirely unique and comfortable are very difficult to find. There are plenty of people out there who have dreams, but most of the time these dreams do not make for comfortable, or stylish, shoes, and the dreamer finds themselves making things other than shoes. It?s hard to remake something that has been being created for hundreds of years. The creator of Ecco shoes, however, managed to do it and do it well.

How Ecco Shoes Began

In 1963, Karl Toosbury decided that he wanted to create the most comfortable walking shoes in the world. Unfortunately, no one believed in his dream. This often happens to inventors: they can?t find anyone to invest in their idea, and without an investor, you can?t create what you?re trying to make. Karl decided that, instead of sitting around moaning about his problems, he?d take care of it himself. He sold his house, and his car, and started making his shoes. His motto was ?not the biggest, but the best?. In order to achieve this motto, he ordered the rawhide and processed it himself.

It took awhile for Ecco shoes to catch on, because the company and Karl were more focused on making comfortable shoes and getting them on feet than they were on advertising. They believed that, once people felt the comfort of the shoes and saw how amazing they were, they would come back for more and word would spread by mouth. They were right. Once Ecco shoes did catch on, it was like wildfire. Now Ecco is owned by Karl?s daughter, Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak, and makes over twelve million pairs of shoes a year.

What?s Special About Ecco?

So what is so special about Ecco shoes? For starters, they?re made like a European shoe. It is a documented fact that Europeans have far less feet problems than Americans have. The hand crafted shoes are better than those made in factories by faceless machines, and the insoles have a comfort fiber system which has a memory foam that absorbs perspiration as well as odors.

Examples

Ecco shoes are available in every type and style, from dress shoes to sneakers to boots. All of the Ecco shoes are made with comfort in mind first, but as time has passed, the styles have changed to reflect the style of today. If you?re looking for boots, the Ecco men?s Track Elite boot is all you could ever need or ask for. This boot has a Duratherm lined Heel and a lugged outsole for ?off road? use.

If you?re looking for shoes that will last, be comfortable, and look great, check out all of the available shoes that Ecco has. Ecco shoes are known around the world for being one of the best things that has ever come out of Denmark.

These days suit styles seem to blend together in a wide array of fashion disasters. However, all a person really needs to know is that their are three main types to choose from. The British, American, and Italian styles are the only three styles you’ll ever need to know.

The Italian style suit is double breasted and has slit pockets with wide lapels. Pants are always cuffed and generally have the more formal pleated rise.

This type of suit is great for the tall and lean man but should never be worn by the shorter stockier build. The reason for this is because the suit does not hug the waist as much as most other models and therefore has a tendency to make people look thicker than they are.

This suit style is a three button model and is equipped with flap pockets. The pants are always pleated and cuffed as a result of the pleats.

Wear this suit to gain a more authoritative look. The reason for this is because the added material and high neckline make it look more formal than either the Italian or American styles.

The American suit style can also be know as the Sac suit. This type of styling is always two button with flat front pants.

Men looking to show off their body should look into this type of model. The jacket shows off the chest while the pants are snug enough on the legs to show them off as well.

Please use this knowledge to make your next suit purchase a great success, and remember to always buy a suit style that will compliment your body rather than show off its weaknesses.

Riding waves on boards. Ancient Hawaiian tradition called it “The Sport of Kings”. And it was in Hawaii that surfing was first seen to be practiced with unsurpassed skill. Captain James Cook was stunned by the way the surfers managed to stay erect on their surfboards and ride the waves at such velocities. The entry of Christianity led to the decline of the sport because the missionaries of those times frowned upon the scant way the surfers were dressed. But the sport did not die out completely and the art of riding the wave was acknowledged as a blend of athleticism and the understanding of the beauty and power of nature by the Reverend Henry T. Cheever, who documented it in 1851. Mark Twain tried it and failed in 1866.

The sport of surfing was introduced to Jack London, the author of such famous novels like the “Call of the Wild”, in 1907 by Alexander Hume Ford. They, together with George Freeth and Duke Kahanamoku (a Polynesian) revived it and it was Duke that introduced it in California in 1912. Since then the sport has never wavered in its popularity.

Simultaneously, the early twentieth century saw the birth of the t-shirt, the ancestor of the surfing t-shirt. It was during the World War I, that the American soldiers noticed that the European soldiers were wearing comfortable cotton underwear when they were wearing woolen ones, totally unsuitable to the then European weather. Since the undergarment of the European soldier was shaped somewhat like a “T”, the Americans called it a T-Shirt.

The T-Shirt had come into its own rights (thanks to Hollywood) and everyone, man, woman and child, people from all walks of life and all ages - from the youngest to the oldest - were wearing t-shirts. It had graduated to a National Phenomenon. Printing on T-Shirts had boosted the popularity of the T-Shirt to such heights and it had become a medium of expression of just about anything and everything.

But it was only in 1961, about half a century since its induction as an undergarment that the t-shirt became a “Surfing T-Shirt”. It was then that Gordon & Smith, the manufacturers of surf boards hit on the notion of printing the symbol of their company, free of cost, on to white shirts, as an advertisement gimmick. It isn’t surprising that everyone had to have this fad on their t-shirts. It did not matter if they surfed or not.

When Dave Sweet, the inventor of the foam surfboard followed it up with a print of his arrowhead insignia on the t-shirt the surfing t-shirt took off on its flight to fame and left an indelible on the world of fashion. In tandem with the growing popularity of the sport of surfing, also grew the fame of the surfing t-shirt. The popularity gained to such heights at an international level that some 300 million surfing t-shirts were made in 2002.

As usual, Hollywood brought these t-shirts onto the silver screen when in 1973 Mackenzie Phillips appeared in the film “American Graffiti” wearing a Dewey Weber Surfboard Surfing T-Shirt and Robert Duval, as Colonel Kilgore, in “Apocalypse Now”. Purist consider only those t-shirts put out by actual surfboard makers as the true “Surfing” T-Shirt. So whether you know how to surf or not, get yourself one surfing t-shirt and be considered a practitioner of the manly sport. The fairer sex can ignore this and get themselves one also.

So it is time to get yourself a surfing t-shirt and wear it. Whether you know how to surf or not, you might be looked at with awe if you come back wearing it from a vacation to one of the coasts where surfing is practiced. Get yourself photographed in one, and you can boast about your prowess to your grandchildren, they won’t know.

I am usually not that big of a fan when it comes to wedges! To me they just seem big and clunky. I have really narrow feet and skinny legs so for me to wear them I feel a little unbalanced! However, when I saw BCBG’s Raisa Peep Toe Wedges, I think I changed my mind about how I feel about wedges.

You will love that these shoes are the right size and extremely attractive.

I appreciate that these shoes are not too bulky. Another great thing about these wedges is the fact that Cameron Diaz would wear these shoes. Cameron Diaz wedges are probably more expensive than BCBG, but they still look like her personal style.

The only color that this shoe comes in is black. The material is leather so you know black on leather is always hot! The inside of the shoe is rather soft. It has a unique grained criss cross leather exterior. One of the things that I liked about the peep hole is that it is a little different from other peep hole designs.

BCBG has done something a little different with this peep hole. This peep hole is not rounded, but it is squared. I am a little behind in the fashion realm when it comes to designs of shoes, but I have not see a peep hole as a square shape before.

Another little cool feature that spices this shoe up just a little bit is that is has a little gold tone logo on the back of the shoe. Don’t worry this is a really discreet touch on the shoe. However, it does add a little bit of flair to the shoe.

Since the overall design of this shoe is not too fancy BCBG did not want to add anything that would be overwhelming for these wedges.

These wedges have a plush insole and lining. These are some of the elements that make this shoe so great. Then the wicker heel looks fantastic against the black leather. BCBG was so creative with this element. It allows these wedges to have a greater appeal.

You can own these Cameron Diaz shoes for $126.00 at bluefly.com; they used to sell for $220.00.That save’s you 40% off the regular price. The sizes are 5.5, 6, 7 and 8. If you need some new summer wedges give these a shot.

Here is another tip to help you gain Cameron Diaz look; wear slim jeans with these wedges and a cowl neck top.

Greasy hair never seems to stay fresh and clean, and can look heavy and flat. Within a few hours of shampooing it refuses to stay full and light and it takes on a stringy appearance. Along with looking oily, greasy hair can appear lifeless, lank and dull. Does this sound familiar to you? Do you ask yourself “why is my hair greasy?” Even if they wash it everyday, others can judge that the sufferer does not wash their hair frequently and doesn’t have good hygiene. This can cause much social embarrassment.

The grease in hair grease is oil and is called Sebum. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands which lie immediately under the skin in you scalp and each hair has a sebaceous gland. Greasy hair is in fact healthy hair, and the oil protects each hair strand from dryness and split ends. Sebum lubricates hair skin and provides a protective barrier to prevent drying. This oil is your own built-in moisturizer.

Greasy hair is excess of sebum in the hair and comes as a result of an over production of sebum (oil) from over active sebaceous glands, stimulated by hormones called androgens. Androgens are male hormones that are present in both men and women, but are higher in men. Androgens do two things: First, they enlarge the sebaceous glands in the skin. Second, they cause these glands to increase oil production.

There are a number of external factors in that cause greasy hair. Washing your hair too often can increase the production of sebum as the sebaceous glands produce more sebum to combat the stripping of oils from the scalp and hair which can happen as a result of frequent washing. Vigorous hair and scalp scrubbing can stimulate hair grease. Touching hair can also over-stimulate glands, as can brushing vigorously which carry oil through your hair. Pollutants in the everyday environment can cause hair to look greasy, along with product build-up at the roots from over-use of hair styling products.

The secret of how to treat, cure, prevent and avoid greasy hair is to treat it from both the outside, and the inside. For the outside: avoid brushing your hair too frequently, and when you brush avoid brushing your hair vigorously. When you wash your hair, the best shampoo for greasy hair is a mild-ph extra cleansing/clarifying shampoo that is formulated for greasy hair. Avoid moisturizing shampoos as they can leave some oil in your hair to protect against dryness. When washing your hair, avoid scrubbing your hair and scalp vigorously, lightly massage your hair and scalp instead.

When shampooing, leave the shampoo in your hair for approximately 5 minutes for a better clean. Rinse and shampoo again if necessary. It’s up to you as to how often you should wash your hair. Once or twice a week is the ideal but to find your own balance of washing and oil production start with washing once a day, reducing how often you wash as you find that balance. If you are going to condition your hair, use a conditioner designed especially for greasy hair, and apply the conditioner not to the roots but to the mid and ends of your hair. If you use a hair dryer to style your hair, heat will stimulate oil production, so don’t let it get too hot.

When people start to age, one of the options that they can turn to for bringing back their youthful look is to have a face lift. A face lift is a medical procedure that aims to make a person look younger by removing excessive facial skin and facial tissues, smoothing out wrinkles and lines. Many people are turning to this effective beauty surgery to bring back their youth.

As there are many advantages to having a face lift, there are also some drawbacks that can be acquired from this procedure. First, face lifts are expensive. They can cost thousands of dollars. Even non-surgical face lifts (which are less expensive than traditional face lifts) such as Botox and Thermage can cost hundreds of dollars for every session. For the budget-conscious, a face lift isn’t very advisable. Another drawback is that face lifts can have painful side effects and long recovery periods. A surgical face lift takes several months before the patient totally recovers. Some side effects of face lifts are nerve damage, skin death and blood clotting.

If you don’t want to go through the usual and painful face lift, there’s another good solution you can turn to: a natural face lift. Known as a good exercise and cleansing regimen, this beauty method is becoming increasingly popular today. It involves working out the muscles so they won’t sag and become wrinkly. The premise of this regime is based on the fact that stress and negative energy are the main reasons why lines, blotches and wrinkles appear.

Any person can do a natural face lift. It’s actually a self-executed massage. This regime helps bring the oxygen and nutrients to facial tissues and cells.

If you dislike the costly and painful face lift surgery, then a natural face lift is the perfect solution for you. Doing this only takes a few minutes everyday. You can do the natural face lift while you’re relaxing or as an activity before sleeping.

Couture Wedding Gowns - What They Are And Are Not.

The love and admiration for couture wedding gowns has not changed as time has passed and we are seeing an increase in demand for them. This does not come as a surprise to me as there are some great opportunities and choices available.

Both modern and sophistcated they are beautiful and are a perfect choice for the everyday bride.

What Options Do You Have?

Janell Bert is the first name that comes to mind when we talk about wedding couture designers. In Las Vegas in 2004 she was given an award by the International Bridal Manufacturers Association (IMBA) for her handwork and embroidery on the wedding gowns that she was responsible for designing.

Bert continues to design couture wedding gowns today and as well currently serves as a costume consultant with various regional theaters, developing more than 300 costumes every year.

Other notables include Vera Wang and another special designer called Luly Yang. The company that she works for will act as a consultant during determining your dress choices with regards color, concept, style and the textile.

All the pieces in their collection are specifically selected because of the excellent lines and flattering design. The goal is to make you feel comfortable and beautiful on the big day.

Are There Any Budgetary Constraints?
