In exchange for this 40% “fee” your sponser is supposed to teach you how to close the sale. After you make your own first sale, that person in turn will bring there first sales to you.
You can now start to see the effect of the multi-level marketing world. When you sign a person up the person, that person will sign up two more, and those people bring 4 more and so forth. The idea is that after your initial start up you can sit back and watch your money grow. The product EDC promotes is bundles of outdated ebooks and software is available online for free.
You will be given the option to join EDC on the diamond level. This level allows you to earn $1500 per sale in commision and not having to give your sponser that 40%. Your sponser will get $500 from each of your sales and the owners will receive $497. I wonder just how one would be able to regain that initial investment.
One of the main disadvantages is that after the first two sales, you are more likely to lose any help you used to receive from your mentor because after the first two sales there is no incentive for the mentor. Hence there is no reason for the mentor to help you and above all you have compete with you mentor for customers.
The FTC watches out for companies like EDC. The FTC targets businesses the collect an initial fee from customers before they have an opportunity to make money. This makes EDC risky.
The high price tag is also harder for people to afford and this makes it difficult for a member to sell it to others. It has been reported that the training and support materials provided are of lower quality than advertised. EDC Gold and EDC Diamond business is similar to other businesses closed by FTC or forced to reconstruct in order to stay in the business.
