Posted by: Candy Clark in Advertising, tags: AdvertisingIf you have a website online or merely just browsing the Internet you’ll either need traffic or, guess what? You are the traffic others are waiting for. So what is traffic? Just imagine the Internet as a major Freeway; the lanes on the freeway are different networks people are using.
The lanes on this traffic Highway are Comcast, AOL, Qwest or MSN. The vehicles on this traffic Highway are millions of people looking for the best exit to meet their needs. These exits are weblogs or affiliate websites. And our goal today is to make our exits more visible than all other exits.
I’m going to show you how to increase online traffic free. So what I mean is I’m going to show you how to make your exit more visible so more cars will see it and decide to choose your exit 1st. If you have no understanding of “keyword optimization!” This can cost you big bucks.
I’m not claiming to know everything or to be the only one with the Holy Grail on how to increase online traffic. But I will show you a simple nontechnological technique to draw FREE targeted prospects to your website. I will keep this short and simple due to time limitations I leave my contact information for more detailed questions.
The majority of this information is for affiliate marketers because this is what I do, sale affiliate products. There is usually no startup cost, you receive a free affiliate website, and ClickBank.com has thousands of great products worth selling, check them out.
If you have a large advertising budget, it’s okay to purchase paid advertising. But this is normally not the case for the beginner affiliate marketer. You see saving time and money is the main objective of the affiliate marketer. Our goal is to advertise effectively for free.
If you are familiar with Pay-Per click advertising which is effective but costly. Visit: Enhanced.com or AdWords.google.com for more pay-per click information. But our main purpose is to get free visitors to your website.
Good (keywords) is where we want to begin. Example: say the product that you are promoting is (apples). This should be your main or primary keyword. But for the beginner seeking free traffic (apples) is to competitive of a keyword. The major guru’s have been selling Apple’s for years. So you want keywords much easier to compete with. You want to start from the bottom and CLIMB your way to the top.
Climbing from the bottom to the top should be your goal when competing for keywords in your particular market. By targeting keywords with 3 or more words describing (apples) is far more effective. Example: (red shiny little Apple) is more effective than the word (apples).
You can find search tools online revealing the type of (apples) keyword searches people are looking for. These free tools show you exactly what people are typing into Google, Yahoo and Alexa search engines. When looking for apples. If you want to increase online traffic a tool called freekeywords.Wordtracker.com is a tool you’ll need.
For other free tools simply type into any search engine the words “free keyword tools” with these keyword tools just type in the name of any product you’re trying to promote, and see what people are typing in the search engines to locate your product. Then locate the keyword phrases that best describe your product starting from the bottom.
These are generally called (Long tail keywords). Remember your website success to increase online traffic is all about effective keywords. For more detailed information about the effective use of keywords please visit: goodkeywords.com they have free tools and information.
Now that you have competitive keywords for your product, you want to change your affiliate website URL link to match your primary keyword. We identified (apples) as your primary keyword in the above example.
Now affiliate links do not look pretty. These links are designed to credit you for your sale of a particular product. ClickBank.com affiliate links look like this: candyc77.apples.hop.clickbank.net my tracking affiliate code is candyc77. I get paid through this code.
By going to this website: www.shorturl.com and paying only $1.88 for the entire year; your affiliate website can look like this: Apples.2fortune.com this looks more professional to your prospects.
Now with your effective list of longtail keywords and your new pleasant looking affiliate link. Let’s increased online traffic with a Web log, better known as a blog. Go to www.blogger.com or WordPress.com and get your FREE weblog.
Trust me I don’t have time for all the details, but you will love using Web blog’s because they’re free and they have RSS feed. You can learn more about RSS feed at whichever blog address you join.
Just remember it’s easy because it’s already installed and search engines LOVE RSS feed. Now once your new blog is set up you want to talk about your affiliate product using your primary, secondary and Long tail keywords.
Remember to target your longtailed keywords beginning at the BOTTOM and working your way to the top using your keyword search tools. In the above example your primary keyword was apples; which is to competitive even though it identifies your product. “Candy apples” your secondary keyword is still to competitive in the beginning. To increase online traffic you must use longtail keywords which are less competitive in the beginning.
As I stated earlier (Long tail keywords) are phrases with 3 or more words in the phrase. You have a smaller audience using Long tail keywords; but this is where you start for free search engine traffic.
Use all of these keywords in the paragraphs of your web blog to describe your affiliate product. Also include your more pleasing affiliate link you made from www.shorturl.com. The example Link: Apples.2fortune.com using a highly ranked .com address can certainly increase your online traffic.
