You may be in the market for a great diaper bag for yourself or for a gift - and maybe you don’t want to break the bank. Your criteria for an inexpensive diaper bag may be one that… * Is built to last * Is good value for the money spent * Has lots of pockets, compartments and pouches to hold the stuff that you need when out with your son or daughter * Costs under $70

Whether you are looking for an inexpensive diaper bag or the most expensive bags there are five things/features that your bag must have. Here they are.

1. Super organized - look for one that has plenty of places to store items such as diapers, wipes, a change of clothes and little baby toys. It is also helpful if it has an insulated bottle holder - to hold baby’s milk or water bottle when you are out and about. Having a bag where everything is organized means that you change baby in matter of seconds - not minutes.

2. Built in change pad - there are diaper bags on the market that provide you with the flexibility of a built in change pad for changing your baby. Imagine how great it would be to be able to unfurl a built in change pad virtually anywhere… in a washroom, on a picnic table, almost anywhere.

3. Good value - since you are looking for something inexpensive, cost is a consideration. Look for one that is well made, is well priced (under $70) and provides great value for mom and dad. A good indicator is the product’s warranty. Look for one that has at least a 2 year warranty.

4. Great for both mom and dad. Both you and your partner will be taking baby for outings. Look for a bag that both of you will feel comfortable with as you introduce your son or daughter to the world. What a trip!

5. Easy to carry. The most important thing that you will carry is your son or daughter. The bag that you use is secondary - so make sure that it is easy to carry. It should have a strap and the strap should be long enough to sling over your shoulder, or looped onto the handles of a baby stroller. Ideally it can be worn on your back similar to a back pack.
