People you already know such as your friends, relatives, business associates, your competitors, they might be interested in buying. They might not be interested right now, but maybe in the future. If you think broadly, everyone around you can be prospects. The key is networking.
Networking is the process of meeting new people and building relationships for future, mutually beneficial exchanges. Through networking, you can increasingly expand your sources of information and support. The people you meet may not necessarily be interested in buying or selling, but they might know somebody who is. You might be surprised by how many referrals you get from people you meet.
If you are diligent and proactive about your search, you will find that there are so many great ways that you can do to get investors your way, and a lot of strategies you can do to build up your prospects list. Your local Real Estate Investment Club is one of the best resources you can use. Take advantage of it and join your REI Club. You it’s a great way to meet other investors and share information on the market. You will definitely find out who to watch out for.
Advertising is the most commonly used ways of reaching potential clients. There is not a more ordinary way to advertise than to run ads in the paper. Put in an ad on the Classified Ads section under the “Wanted to buy” part. It is a simple and ordinary, yet always effective way to get investors calling. Put up as many “We buy houses” signs in as many areas that you can reach in your target area.
There are so many other different ways to advertise, and you can be as creative as you can be, to get people to come to you. It is amazing how little things really add up.
Always have a lot of business cards with you. You never know when you could meet potential investors when your out.
