While the thought of menopause may immediately cause you to picture women in the 45-55 year age range, male menopause is very real. Men do indeed suffer from menopause just like women do, however under differing circumstances of course. Being it and be more aware of available menopause treatment.

Most men report the symptoms of male menopause are not as severe as symptoms reported by those suffering from female menopause. Male menopause, referred to medically as Andropause, is linked to a decline in testosterone levels due to age. It’s wise for men and women to talk about herbal supplementation with their family doctor, before using them. This is most important due to the fact that some herbal supplements counteract the effects of medications you may regularly take. Some combinations of herbs and prescription medications can be dangerous or even fatal. Asking a doctor before using herbs can prevent a bad situation. 2g- Male menopause, Andropause, can be treated by doctors with simple testosterone replacement therapy. The testosterone replacement therapy treatment is similar to hormone replacement therapy offered to women with menopause. Men and women have both reported replacement therapy relieves the symptoms of menopause.

When male menopause affects libido, treatment may need to include counseling sessions. It can be difficult to deal with and sexual problems have greatly been linked to divorce among older couples. In many cases, men feel as if they are losing their “manhood” which can be emotionally difficult to deal with.
